The Haiti Project
Since 2007, Bread of Compassion has partnered with village leaders and established organizations throughout Haiti to deliver aid and assistance to those most in need. Through mobile clinics, we have provided hands-on medical treatment to thousands of Haitian people. We have responded to the 2010 earthquake by sending additional medical and construction teams. These mobile medical clinics serve as vital lifelines for those in desperate need of basic medical care. Word of our Traveling Teams travels fast through our partnerships with local leaders and medical personnel. While in the field, our Traveling Teams are able to treat approximately 200 patients each day.
Through our home office in Wayland, Massachusetts, Bread of Compassion organizes and supports Traveling Teams of medical personnel and support staff who are dispatched into areas of Haiti where medical care is needed but all too scarce.
With our established partnerships and local leaders and organizations, we are able to effectively administer and coordinate care, assure follow-up with local medical professionals, and build relationships with those who can help us make a difference.
