I have never felt so useful, inadequate, challenged, blessed and humbled all at the same time as I have on the BOC mission trips. What we accomplish is small, in comparison to the needs that surround us but we do it with great love and for a few we change their world.

Previous Trips Outside of Haiti


Hyderabad, India – Bread of Compassion teamed up  with Agape International Orphanage, a home for HIV infected children.  While there, Traveling Teams helped build a permanent dental clinic and provided free dental care to the children.

Okeechobee, Florida – Bread of Compassion worked with Real Life Children's Ranch, a long-term foster home for children who have been abused and neglected. While there, our Teen Traveling Team repaired homes, landscaping and helped on the working ranch.

Copper Canyon, Mexico – Bread of Compassion teamed with local Tarahumara leaders and distributed 20 tons of food , including rice, beans, cornmeal, sugar, oil, pasta and salt to those in need. The Traveling Team also cooked and served hot meals to 1,4000 Tarahumara people who came to receive bags of foods.

Andes Mountains, Peru –  Bread of Compassion partnered with local leaders of the Limatambo people to provide dental care. Traveling Teams also worked with local orphanages to provide hygiene education.

New Orleans, Louisiana – Bread of Compassion Traveling Teen Teams traveled to New Orleans to help those devastated by Hurricane Katrina. In just one week, the all-youth team gutted an entire home, landscaped yards and distributed school supplies to local children. The Traveling Teen Team also helped renovate a men's drug and alcohol residential facility.

Guatemala City, Guatemala –  Bread of Compassion Traveling Teams partnered with local community leaders and helped construct a new facility for an overcrowded school. They also taught the children about basic hygiene and disease prevention. The Traveling Team journeyed into the city slums to feed, clothe and educate some of the 30,000 families that live in or near them.

Kenya, Africa –  The largest team ever sent out was to Africa with 70 people. Bread of Compassion constructed an orphanage facility in one of the worlds largest slums. They hosted medical clinics and provided hygiene education.
